There are No Shortcuts
Written 2/7/2024.
I’ve had several discussions with colleagues on this and even a presentation on Day 3 talking about there are no easy buttons.
Taking the extra step matters. The group administrator for a company screwed up on how a drug was billed (they “white bagged” the drug, which means they delivered it to the infusion center to save $22,000 per infusion. Yes, that’s the real number). The drug was billed as not white bagged, so each infusion was $26,000. The broker asked that the plan open up the billing (which was already done and not able to be opened) and rebill everything.
They did and saved around $88,000 of charges for the plan. That administrator will NEVER switch from that broker. The broker didn’t have to go to bat for the person, but they did.
There are no easy buttons.
I still go back to David Goggins’ interview on the Huberman Lab podcast at the beginning of January (it was around 2 hours long). He is the poster child of no shortcuts.
In this new business I am starting, I don’t want any shortcuts because I need the growth, I need the practice, I need the time to have this truly be the most spectacular business ever.
I’m excited for the work.
I’m happy there are no shortcuts.
So in your life, consider what you want to do or be and how to get there. Start today, revel in the effort it takes. It’s in that struggle that success is truly won.
Afraid of something? Fear is an illusion, do it anyway.
Having massive amounts of resistance? Mentally walk around the resistance and do it anyway.
Your future self will thank you profusely. Your future tribe members are cheering you on.
Let’s continue on our journeys together. You on your journey, me on mine.
We can compare notes.
