Mom said I have to check in every evening

One benefit of postponing my trip by a day was that I could visit my parents. My dad is homebound and has round the clock care. My mom still cooks, puts out my dad’s medications and a lot of other minor things.

All at 89 years young.

I was talking about my trip, and she asked that I just text her every evening with just the word “okay” so that she knows I’m okay. Even at 89 she’s still the mom.
