Modelling Comes Naturally

Today was photoshoot day. I arrived early, so grabbed a coffee and happy marriage rhubarb square at the bakery.
Off to my brand managers/photographer’s hotel and changing into outfit number one. Taupe suede Chelsea boots, medium blue jeans, cream sweater, and grey cardigan sweater.
I would never put two sweaters together, but it looked really great.
Next was finding the right places and “striking a pose” which typically meant me turning my head sideways and looking off into the distance. Sometimes looking at my phone, we even borrowed a person to sit across from me to look like I was talking to someone.
My brand manager, then mic’d me up and started asking questions on what I was doing, why I was doing it, relationships, etc.
It was amusing to see people trying to figure out who I was, as if I was someone famous. I even had someone taking pictures of me while I was being photographed.
The other fun part was that seniors in high school were running around the city in costume doing silly things for a scavenger hunt (get points for X). They had started drinking at 8 am (drinking age is 18 and senior is 13th grade). We took some pictures with them. It was awesome.
One other fun part was that we got to meet with Sif Gunnarsdóttir. The President of Iceland’s Chief of Staff. It was a personal favor to allow us to meet her and it was nice asking her similar questions as my other interviews. I was not allowed to record and it was only at the end that she allowed a picture taken with her. I appreciated her taking time for us as she’s a very accomplished and interesting person.
We ended the day at the Big Lebowski bar.
At 9:15 pm, I called it a night for myself as I had gotten less than 6 hours of sleep the night before (went to bed at 2 am).
Tomorrow is the Golden Circle.
BTW, we got to see the norther lights!
