Lining Up Podcast Guests for Iceland
Written 4/16/2024.
A current post, just to keep you updated in more real time.
As part of this new passion project, we will include a podcast. It is designed to be the intersection between business, leadership, and happiness (mental health).
I wanted to talk to each person before the interview so that I get to know them and what makes them tick. Today I talked to the first person. She’s passionate about refugee rights, women’s rights, and litigates for those rights. She has her own law firm in Iceland.
Wow, what a great conversation. We talked a lot longer than planned (she was late for her next meeting by 10 minutes). I’m excited to have her on the show.
I have two more lined up to talk to this week and waiting on one or two others who expressed interest.
I’d love it if I could interview 3 or 4 people. It would be a great start.
They all get an invite to our private dinner next Thursday.
My vision is to interview people from around the world in their home towns, preferably at a local restaurant which we’d feature as part of the podcast (all podcasts will have video). That way the podcast will help the restaurant get more business. My goal is to do something cool for those fans of the podcast who eat there. That part hasn’t been developed yet.
As I’m starting out and there is no income from this project, we may have to start small, do local people or even zoom [shivers run down my spine as I say this].
It will definitely not be perfect at the beginning or match my vision, but nothing ever is. We start from where we are, we practice and get better, and hopefully within the year we can consistently achieve the vision for this podcast. There will be nothing like it that I know of. It will be AWESOME!
BTW, we will have a private group that will be able to do a Q&A with those podcast guests who are willing to participate. How many times have you listened to a podcast and wanted to ask the guest a question? This is all part of the program. It will be super exciting.
As things shape up, I’ll talk about the other aspects of this project. The goal is to help people find themselves again, work through trauma, and truly live who they are. The community will be supportive and ever learning.
