I'm light as a feather because it was a great day

I got an invite to a C-Suite networking event in Chicago. I’ve been a member since 2019, which for this group is a long time. It was an opportunity to see some people I haven’t seen in a couple years.
Coming from Naperville, you just kind of get on the road and start driving to Chicago. Sometimes you’ll be early, sometimes late. It’s just kind of the way it works. I gave myself an hour and twenty minutes and it took an hour and five minutes, so I was 15 minutes early to the event. I consider this a win.
It was a dual event with the Private Directors Association, so it was packed and loud, but the people were nice and high quality. All have accomplished great things, so it’s refreshing to be amongst good company.
Tricia Behn runs C-Suite and is an extremely accomplished and lovely person. I’m so glad I was able to catch up with her. I miss seeing her more often.
At the end there was a person with a sparkle around them. I shouldered my way in, and we started chatting. She’s been on a growth journey too, so we ended up closing down the event (it ended at 8 pm and we left after 8:30 pm). We promised to do lunch together.
I’m as light as a feather and am glad I went.
