Spending over 10 hours trying to first fix my phone, then looking for a deal within and with other carriers, I finally said screw it and bought a Galaxy S24+ from the Amazon Samsung store (saved $200). It arrived tonight at 5 pm.
I was able to head down to my yoga class and was actually 10 minutes early, so I headed to the Verizon store (kitty corner from Xsport in Bolingbrook). They were able to transfer the Sim card and for $30, transfer all my data and settings to the new phone. I was only 3 minutes late to class.
That’s a win in my book.
Then there are my contacts…
I was able to put them in pretty quickly (under 5 minutes). That was the easy part.
Tonight, I tried taking them out. The left contact came out easily enough, the right didn’t. After 10 minutes I gave up and went about my business and when I went to bed, I tried again.
No luck.
I finally called a friend and drove to her house (she wears contacts and can actually see what’s going on). With her help, I got the contact to the side of my eye and then was able to pinch it out. Without her telling me where the contact was, I’d be sleeping with it.
My eye is sore and irritated, but contact-free.
Had a call with my Brand Management team and met my designer. We also talked about the arc of the business and when the podcast launch party will be.
It’s all coming together.
I got lost as I focused on the phone! I thought you were referring to contacts I’m the phone book 😅 it’s contact lenses! Gave me a moment to laugh at myself. ❤️ congratulations on the new phone!
