I assume other people get this. A sense of weirdness or maybe impending doom. Sadness even though you can’t point to anything specific as to the reason.
That’s me today.
I think it’s because I didn’t work directly on my passion projects and I have several people on my to do list to call but had been in back-to-back meetings since 8:30 am.
Going between the office this morning to home at lunch time, I knew I wasn’t going to have enough time to make something to eat. The Chinese place close to me changed hands, so I decided to call in an order for pick up. I’m glad I did. It is slightly more expensive than most other lunch specials, but they included egg drop soup and enough food for 2 people. It ended up being my dinner too. The receipt was written in both English and Chinese, so that gives me hope that people in the back are decent cooks.
The food was good.
Booked a rental car for Iceland today. Much cheaper than in the United States. I was surprised. I assume the fuel will be expensive, but I did get a hybrid SUV for the trip. Oh, and it’s an automatic. Not something I looked at while booking. I’m good with both manual and automatic vehicles. I also bought comprehensive coverage because then I don’t have to deal with any claims.
The first person I preferred to look after the dog wasn’t able to do it, but she had a referral. The referral has availability and I’ll chat with her next week.
I need to review my retreat workbook (design is done). Pick up tour books on Iceland because I need to craft a story as to why I chose Iceland and how it fits into the retreat. This is actually an important aspect when creating retreats. The venue must fit. Iceland definitely does.
Just waiting on the private dinner and tours. Then we’ll tackle restaurants and who I will interview for the podcast.
We have a board for which shots they want to take of me while in Iceland (close, medium, far, with waterfall, landscape, city, etc). Working with a pro who knows their stuff makes this so much easier. There is no half-assing stuff. Only top shelf.
Also worked on (vision/planning) my regular business today too.
It’s all good.
